Food And Home for Children

Primary School

The primary school is situated within the campus , with an adjacent large study Room. The Primary School infrastructure was set up by one of our patrons. The school has dedicated and experienced teachers who groom the children in a holistic way.

Kitchen

The whole process of cooking is lot of fun for all the residents of SPCI. We try to provide 4 meals of wholesome balanced food which is so essential for the children. After the introduction of organic farming the children learn to grow the food, collect, clean wash and cut the vegetables and fruits. Off course there are seniors to guide them. The kitchen is a large set up capable of catering to all the residents. The rich aroma of fresh cooked food fills the air when the children gather at the Dining Hall and learn to eat together. We teach them to clean their own utensils. They have a small prayer session before their meal.

Medical Facility

The medical facility here is very important. There are stock of all medicines for immediate support. There are doctors who are linked to the society and provide emergency on call support. Similar linkages have been made to the local hospitals.

Secondary and Higher Secondary Education

The society has linkage with a government school situated nearby for schooling of all children. There are senior teachers who provide voluntary supplementary coaching services to the children

The Junior Hostel

The junior girls’ hostel is a separate building, each girl has her bed and a small. There are two separate hostel facilities, one for the Junior section and the other for the seniors. The hostel gives a feel of Home away from home. There are mothers, Matron and the Superintendent, who look after the children round the clock. They try their best to give the children their mother's love and care which they miss. They are the friends, philosophers and guides to their children

Vocational Training

The main objective of the vocational training is to impart all round training to the girls so that they may become self sufficient and capable of earning money on their own.

Following are the training courses which are currently offered 1.certification courses on computer 2. Painting and craft training 3. Stitching and sewing training 4. Organic Farming training We seek association with various institutes for other training courses
